Mummy MOT

The Mummy MOT is a postnatal assessment for women following delivery either vaginally or via caesarean section.  This can be done from six weeks post-delivery, but it is never too late to have an assessment if you are continuing to have symptoms following childbirth.

What is a Mummy MOT?

  • A 60 minute assessment which includes a thorough history followed by a physical examination which usually includes an internal pelvic examination.
  • The assessment includes an in-depth check of posture, any symptoms of pain, pelvic floor function, diastasis recti and breathing.
  • Time to ask any questions and discuss any concerns regarding your pelvic health or body following your birth.
  • A written report following your appointment providing findings and specific advice.
  • On-going support sessions can be arranged if required.
